The result is an extremely easy-to-use digital camera that snaps surprisingly good photos, and that can literally go anywhere without worries about water, mud, or dust. Not for the Ansel Adams types, this is a very basic point & shoot model with modest resolution, no exposure controls, and a lens that's decidedly soft in the corners. However, its simplicity, combined with its rugged, waterproof construction, makes it ideal for packing along on the trail or to the beach. The combination of ruggedness and simple operation also make it a nearly ideal "first camera", suitable for use by even very young children.
